Winter is coming

After running the (now) old Yokohama's C.drive 2 for over 61k kilometres (the last 40k were at the front axle), I decided to try something else, one of those fuel efficient type of tire that promise to save you what can be a considerable amount of money.
I had driven Dunlop's before (nice soft and unlucky tire... blew two of them little over 20k) but never tried fuel savers. Crunching some numbers, thanks to the Energy Efficiency page of the European Commission, and they say that I can save up to 195€ on fuel by fitting B labelled tires instead of F labelled. Well, since I paid 199.25€ for a pair of Dunlop Sport Bluresponse (195/60R15), they seem to pretty much pay for themselves if, I drive them up to 60 thousand kilometres... not a problem!
The new tires were fitted at the rear axle, the older ones were balanced and the steering was aligned, this is also included in the paid value.

The second pair of tires

A new pair of tires was needed, the remaining pair of Bridgestone's in the front axle (I always fit the new tires on the rear) were worn almost to the limiters, so a new pair of Yokohama's C.drive 2 were bought to fit the rear axle, leaving the older ones the job of steering the front end.
In place they costed me 192€, including steering alignment. The Bridgestone ran for about 32 thousand kilometres.
After a short run, the already used Yokohama's seem far better then the Bridgestone's, although this just might be a natural consequence of reaching the final life span of the Bridgestone's.

New pair of tires

Winter is coming (or so we think around this part of the globe) and new tires are needed since the old Bridgestone Turanza ER300 rubber is in pretty bad shape in spite of having plenty of thread left.
I once had some Yokohama A.drive fitted on a car, and liked the handling, so this time I decided for a pair of Yokohama C.drive 2 (efficiency label grade B for rain, C for fuel economy and 70dB for noise).
Price for both tires fitted and ready to run was 170€, fitted at 119105km.
